Wow. Once you read the SI article about the history of wht has been going on there it is very easy to se why Tressel resigned today. Hearing that upwards of 40 players traded memorabilia or autographs for tattoos, money, cars, or allegedly, drugs, shows that OSU was a program that was really out of control.
The sad part is that I have no difficulty in believing that this sort of thing goes on at almost every school.
There have been more than a few times over the years that I have been around Madison that I’ve seen athletes driving vehicles that are way beyond what a college athlete could afford, but everyone turns a blind eye because they help the program that you follow win.
Very sad stuff.
