– I still owe all of you a review of Riptide GT for my Android tablet and I should have that up in the next few days. Lots of crazy stuff going on, but I will get to it soon.
– Good news for the Wisconsin football program as Russell Wilson, NC State’s starting QB, is transferring so that he’ll be able to play for the Badgers this year.
The Badgers QB situation was looking pretty grim considering they were going to be relying on Sophomore and Freshmen as possible starters, none of which had any real game time to speak of.
Wilson comes in from an established program and should be able to step in and hand the ball off like any good Wisconsin QB should. (I kid, he’ll have to throw roll out passes to TE’s as well.)
Still, it solidifies a position that the Badgers really needed to make better this season. All of a sudden, the Badgers look to be one of the best teams in their division.
– Now that you have had a few days off from Brewers talk….
The Brewers now lead the NL Central by 3 games, for the first time since early 2009. The tough thing is that they are heading into the Bronx tomorrow for a 3 game series with the Yankees. I’d love to see them take 2 there… but the road has been tough for the team this year. Anything other than a Yankees sweep would be a win in my book.
– In movies….
I took my daughters to see Cars 2 yesterday and I can sum it up with an IGN review….
“If you love Larry the Cable Guy, you’ll love Cars 2.”
Way too much of the film is dedicated to Mader and a bizarre spy plot. My 6 year old was entertained by the film, but she also likes the horrific computer animated Barbie films. My 4 year old and I were bored by it after about 30 minutes.
The racing scenes were lackluster and only one character had any real development at all (Mader.)
If I hadn’t gotten the movie tickets for free (thank you Cars and Incredibles Blu-Ray’s,) I would have considered it a terrible waste.
Definitely the worst Pixar film I have seen to date…. and it’s not even a close contest.
– As far as gaming goes, I picked up Just Cause 2 for the PC for $5 over the weekend and spent a bit of time with that. The rest of my time was dedicated to collecting heart pieces in Zelda. I’m sure you can understand.
I’m efforting a few interviews at the moment, so hopefully we’ll have a few more shows for Riding the Pines in the next few weeks.
