Quick Thursday morning notes

– That had to have been one of the best last days of the season that I’ve ever seen.  Absolutely amazing baseball stories as the Cardinals and Rays win the Wild Card on the last day of the season.  Tampa’s effort over shadowed all others though as they came from 9 back at the beginning of September and overcame a 7-0 lead (and hit the homer to put them into extra innings with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th) to beat the Yankees on a walkoff home run in the bottom of the 12th.

Anyone who has thought of getting rid of the Wild Card would have to rethink that after watching the 4 games tonight.  Amazing stuff.  No doubt about it.

– The Yankees host the Tigers and the Rangers host the Rays on Friday and the Cards go to Philly and Arizona goes to Milwaukee on Saturday.   Playoff baseball in full action in less than 48 hours, gotta love it.

– Congrats to Howie for winning the Fantasy Baseball league… he wins a years supply of Rice A Roni.  Good for him….

– Have a great day.

Hey man, thanks for jinxing the Braves in your last column (actually, thanks for all your columns this month saying in so many words the Cardinals were done)

Maybe you could do the same to the Phillies this week.

Completely agree that it was the best day of baseball EVER!

You know…it is the San Francisco Treat!

If that were the case, as far as jinxing, I would have been cheering for the Cards… heh.
